How to download TikTok carousel photos (slideshows), slide by slide

By Harmony Crafted · · 5 min read

TikTok carousels — officially Photo Mode posts, also called photo slideshows — are a swipeable sequence of still images, often with music. TikTok introduced Photo Mode in October 2022 as "a new carousel format … for photo content that's ideal for sharing high quality images" (TikTok Newsroom), and a single post can hold up to 35 photos (The Verge). That is a lot of slides to screenshot one by one. Here is the faster way.

Step 1: Copy the carousel's link

  1. Open the photo post in the TikTok app or on tiktok.com.
  2. Tap Share, then Copy link. On desktop you can copy the URL from the address bar; it looks like tiktok.com/@creator/photo/….

Step 2: Paste it into CarouselStats

Go to the TikTok carousel downloader and paste the link. CarouselStats looks the post up and shows a preview of the post so you can confirm it's the right post before downloading anything.

Step 3: Choose how to save the slides

  • One slide at a time — every slide has its own Download button.
  • Download all (ZIP) — every slide in one file, numbered in carousel order.
  • Stitched image (optional) — one image with all slides side by side, handy for reference boards or for seeing a whole carousel at a glance. You can download it on its own or tick "Include stitched image in ZIP".

Does it add a watermark?

No. CarouselStats doesn't add a watermark, logo or branding. You receive the slide images as they are published in the post. Anything the creator placed on the image itself — text overlays, stickers, their own handle — is part of the picture and stays.

Saving several carousels from one creator

Paste a @username instead of a link. After you confirm the profile, CarouselStats fetches that creator's 3 most recent photo carousels so you can save them individually or as a single ZIP. Full history download is coming soon.

What doesn't work (yet)

  • Videos. CarouselStats is built for photo posts; video links show a "coming soon" message.
  • Private or deleted posts. Only publicly viewable posts can be fetched.

Use downloads responsibly

Saving a carousel for reference, research or to back up your own posts is fine; reposting someone else's work without permission is not. TikTok's Intellectual Property Policy explains how copyright applies on the platform. If you repost with permission, credit the creator.
