What we collect

CarouselStats has no accounts. When you use the downloader or analytics we record:

  • What you asked for: the post links or TikTok usernames you enter, whether it worked, how many slides were delivered, and whether the result came from cache.
  • Your IP address, as seen by our hosting provider (Cloudflare).
  • Approximate location derived from your IP by Cloudflare: country, region, city, time zone and network (ASN). We do not use GPS or precise location.
  • Device information from your browser's user agent: device type, browser and operating system.
  • How you arrived: the referring website and the first page you landed on.
  • Interactions such as whether a feedback prompt was shown or clicked.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-less page-view counter. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data.

Why

  • To run the service: fetching the posts you ask for and caching results.
  • To prevent abuse: rate limits per IP address protect the service and the platforms we fetch from.
  • To understand usage and improve the product (for example which features people use and where they come from).

Retention

  • Raw IP addresses are deleted after 90 days by an automatic daily job.
  • The rest of the usage records (without IP) are kept for up to about 13 months, then deleted.
  • Downloaded slides and previews are cached on our servers so repeat requests are fast, and may be removed at any time.

Sharing

We do not sell or share this data. It is processed by our infrastructure providers (Cloudflare and our own server) only to operate the service.

Content you download

CarouselStats fetches publicly available posts at your request. You are responsible for respecting the creator's rights when you reuse their content.
